Preliminary Program

13:00 | Welcome

Kick off the afternoon, meet fellow students and guests, and get ready for an afternoon of cybersecurity.

13:15–14:15 | From Student to a Career in Cybersecurity

How do you turn an interest in cybersecurity into a career? Former LTU student Max shares his journey from studying and working part-time to becoming a Security Analyst and, today, a Detection Engineer. Get an inside look at life in a SOC, the skills that matter in the real world, and what it takes to start building a career in cybersecurity. Representatives from Atea SOC will also share what they do and talk about potential career opportunities.

14:15–14:45 | Fika

Recharge with coffee and snacks, meet the speakers and connect with fellow students and industry guests.

14:45–15:30 | CTF, Code Sports & Getting Started

Curious about CTF? Isabella (a former LTU student and current employee at Civsec Nordic AB / Women4Cyber) shares her journey into the Swedish CTF scene and tips for getting started. What is CTF? How do competitions work? How do you build a team?

15:30–16:30 | Practical Session

Time to put things into practice, together with Isabella! Try hands-on CTF challenges and scenario-based exercises, test your skills and learn together with others.

16:30–17:15 | Industry Insights: Skills & Future Needs

Meet cybersecurity companies and hear what skills they are looking for, how the industry is evolving and where future opportunities may be. A great chance to ask questions, make connections and get inspired for your future career. A former LTU student, Johan from Civsec Nordic AB, will share his journey, and industry insights.

17:15– | Cyber Chill – Eat, Meet & Connect

We wrap up the day with food, informal hangout and a chance to continue the conversations, meet people from the industry and connect with other students – maybe even find teammates for your next CTF.
